Số liệu từ Trung tâm lưu ký Chứng khoán Việt Nam (VSD) cho biết trong tháng 4, nhà đầu tư trong nước đã mở mới 110.121 tài khoản chứng khoán. So với tháng trước đó, số lượng tài khoản nhà đầu tư trong nước mở mới ít hơn khoảng 3.000 tài khoản nhưng đây vẫn là con số rất cao.
Trong số 110.121 tài khoản nhà đầu tư trong nước mở mới trong tháng 4 có tới 109.998 tài khoản từ các nhà đầu tư cá nhân và 123 tài khoản từ các tổ chức.

Việc nhà đầu tư nội ồ ạt mở tài khoản chứng khoán thời gian gần đây có nhiều yếu tố, trong đó đáng kể nhất là việc (1) Lãi suất huy động đang ở mức thấp; (2) Kênh trái phiếu doanh nghiệp bị siết lại vì Nghị định 81 có hiệu lực vào đầu tháng 9; (3) Việt Nam kiểm soát tốt dịch bệnh và là điểm sáng tăng trưởng kinh tế thế giới; (4) Định giá thị trường chứng khoán Việt Nam đang hấp dẫn so với các quốc gia trong khu vực và (5) Triển vọng nâng hạng thị trường mới nổi trong 2 năm tới.
Sự nhập cuộc mạnh mẽ từ các nhà đầu tư trong nước đã giúp thị trường cân bằng lại áp lực bán ròng dữ dội của khối ngoại. Trong 4 tháng đầu năm, khối ngoại đã bán ròng gần 14.000 tỷ đồng trên HoSE, gần bằng lượng bán ròng trong cả năm 2020. Dòng tiền từ các nhà đầu tư “F0” cũng góp phần quan trọng giúp VN-Index hồi phục mạnh và hiện đang vững vàng trên mốc 1.200 điểm. Thanh khoản thị trường cũng duy trì mức rất cao với giá trị giao dịch các phiên thường ở mức 20.000 tỷ đồng.
Tính tới cuối tháng 4, tổng số tài khoản chứng khoán nhà đầu tư trong nước hiện đạt hơn 3,1 triệu, tương đương khoảng 3,1% dân số.
Cũng trong tháng 4, nhà đầu tư nước ngoài đã mở mới 534 tài khoản, tương đương tháng trước và là những tháng có số nhà đầu tư nước ngoài mở nhiều nhất trong vòng 3 năm qua.
